As our new Strategy Director, you will help lead strategy initiatives related to one of our largest and exciting clients. You will balance your time as a practitioner and a leader overseeing more junior individuals working across different projects. The work will include creating digital products, mobile apps and web platforms; multi-channel services; experiential campaigns and events; and interactive content pieces that excite and connect users.

The Real Opportunity
Working with the VP of Strategy, you will help lead and grow the strategy discipline across a dedicated client delivery team.
As a senior leader, you will work to define, test and refine internal research and strategy processes as agreed with the VP of Strategy.
As the team grows, you will lead relevant hiring initiatives and take on the management and mentorship of new Strategists.
With the assistance of the resourcing team, you will ensure projects are adequately staffed with strategy support, and that freelancers are vetted and onboarded as/when necessary.
You will also be responsible for scoping and/or reviewing EPs’ suggested scoping of incoming projects assigned to you and your team members by the VP of Strategy.
As your leadership duties allow, you will continue to work as a Strategist in project teams to deliver RFPs, pitches, and larger scale projects. This may involve conducting primary and secondary research; generating market and customer insights; and leading the development of customer engagement strategies.
Within the context of the project work, you may conduct a range of research methodologies including competitor landscape reviews, in-depth customer interviews, ethnographic observation, focus groups, collaborative journey mapping, co-creation workshops, and more.
In partnership with the other strategy leaders across Jam3, you will deliver consistent communications and help further the strategic literacy of others at the wider org.
You’ll help reinforce Jam3’s profile as a digital design thought leader by managing research studies and publishing in depth thought pieces on Medium quarterly. You’ll come up with other ways to spread the word on a more frequent basis.
You may be asked to take on local or international speaking events as an ambassador or Jam3
You will proactively maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise in digital technologies and trends; sharing your insights with the team, to add to the collective knowledge.
You will continuously hone your leadership and coaching skills to ensure you effectively motivate team members and get the most out of your direct reports.
As and when necessary, you will help to identify and connect Jam3 with relevant and ethical suppliers to support our research and insights offering.
